Description: Medieval Display Company

The Black Griffins

Squire: 16 years and under and beginning adults. Cannot participate in displays but can wear full costume at events

Yoeman: Over 16 Years, deemed proficient shooting ability using a “Yoeman” bow and has authentic soft kit

Decintinar: Over 18 years, deemed highly proficient shooting ability using a “Yoeman” bow and has authentic hard kit

Black Griffin : Over 16 years, deemed highly proficient shooting a “Yoeman” bow, proficient at shooting a “War” bow and has an authentic hard kit

Vintinar: The leadership position of the display company. Determined once a year by a grueling competition between all Black Griffiins

Note: Levels of proficiency are determined by a consensus by the clubs Black Griffin ranked archers, based on the archers form, consistency in accuracy and longevity as a club member, and attainment of a soft or hard kit
