I think its interesting that by the 1340's most archers companies seem to be wearing uniforms. Our own green and white was worn by the archers of Flint and Cheshire( the cheshire guys going on to become the royal bodyguard)archers from south Wales wearing black, London area - red and red and white was popular for a lot of areas. If anyone digs up any more could they let us know. And I wonder about other companies of professional fighting men, though in England these tend to be scarce if not archers.
