LMS AGM 2009-06-22

Club Trailer:
A budget of $1’500 has been set for purchase of a club trailer. Paul to get quotes on a covered box trailer 6x5 or larger.

Morgan will be contacting the President of the “Order of the Lion Rampart” re-enactment group to get proper details of LMS’ involvement at Abbey.

Hawkwood Feast:

LMS has been invited to attend the Hawkwood feast at the old cheese factory on the 29/30th of August. Gav will be letting Morgan know of interested Black Griffins as numbers are needed for organisational purposes.

MMFAT 2009:
The date for MMFAT has been moved to the 7th& 8th of November this year. LMS will be putting on a Warbow demonstration as well as a tournament as there will not be a battle of Poiteres re-enactment this year.

Safety Equuipment:
It was decided that LMS will look into purchasing 3 sets of elbow and knee cops for use by newer members. Dean will also look into purchasing brass and steel rivets as well as rope for the making of safety barriers.

Mossvale Shed:
Any and all inquires into purchasing the pony club shed at Mossvale Park have been suspended until council safety inquires have been resolved.

ALHF Insurance:

If LMS does not hear from ALHF in regards to our 2009/2010 insurance renewal before June 30, all LMS activities will need to be suspended until we have confirmation of insurance renewal.

Medieval restaurant offer:

Morgan has been contacted by an interested party who is looking for couples to perform at medieval themed feasts. The first of which is located in Yarram. Meals and accommodation will be provided.

Black Griffins report:
Gav reported on a good year for the BG’s including successful fundraising activities such as their BBQ at Bunnings and 3D hunt at Deacon University. Upcoming events include the State traditional clout championships. In order to encourage attendance, the BG’s are now offering the option to pay annual range fees up front. Also, in order to more evenly spread the workload, The BG’s have elected their own committee.

LMS/BG agent listing:

Gav suggested that in order to better represent both groups for film and photo purposes, LMS/BG’s should be listed with an Agent. Damien to look into.

Treasurers report:

Delivered by Fraiser. The club is in a position to purchase various safety equipment thanks to last years Donation.

Club jumpers:
Any club jumpers/t-shirts that have not been paid for by the end of July will be sold on.

Although the first half of the year was somewhat interrupted, regular end of month shoots will occur as normal.

Next meeting scheduled to the end of July.
