G'day Neil, I made the clube targets from layers of cardboard covered in hession. We also bought some but have found them a little hard to pull arrows from.

Hi neil, there are so many ways to make your own on the cheap, carboard and thick packing tape is really the most cost effective way. light and easy. I have about 6 diff targets in the shed and all work well but really its the cardboard ones that i mainly use.

Hi Neil
I use eight 1 metre square pieces of carpet. It'll (just) stop a bodkin tipped arrow from a 120lb warbow but an arrow with a hunting broadhead goes straight through when shot from a 70lb bow Shocked

I just love how Robbie says he has about 6 targets in his shed....Babe did you mean at least three of them clutter up my shed?.....
Anyhow, just to throw in another handy target type is the good old cardboard TV box (flat screeens, these can be accquired from local White goods shops). At the same shop you ask for throw away plastic wrap that covers fridges. You then proceed to place a layer of carpet inside the box on each side. Stuff the empty box with the plastic until it looks like it might burst and wrap tightly with packing tape. It's not only light but catches field point arrows for upto 55# easy peasy. I place stakes at the front, each side, and one at the back. The two front ones I have covered with swimming noodles. I've had one going for this summer and the trick is to use both sides and when the box and carpet get shabby, just replace them and reuse the plastic filler. I do leave the noodle stakes out in the paddock and hope the cows don't knock them over, but take in the target box in to keep from wet weather.
